Airport Meet & Greet Service
Meet & greet isn't a paid extra with us — it's how every airport transfer works by default. Here's exactly what that means: where your driver waits, how flight tracking works, and what happens if your bags take a while.
How Meet & Greet Works
Meet & greet means your driver is inside the terminal, past the barriers where public access allows, holding a name board and waiting for you — not idling at a curbside pickup point you have to find yourself with a luggage trolley. We track your flight from wheels-down, so your driver's arrival at the meeting point is timed to when you'll actually clear customs and baggage reclaim, not the scheduled landing time on your booking confirmation.
This is included as standard on every airport transfer we run, whether you're booking a short hop like Southampton Airport to the cruise terminal or a longer cross-country run. There's no separate "meet and greet" tier to upgrade to and no extra line item on your fixed fare — it's simply how the service works.
Delayed Flights, Slow Bags, Long Queues
Flight delayed
Your driver's arrival time shifts with your actual landing slot — a 90-minute delay doesn't mean a missed pickup or a waiting charge.
Bags take a while
A reasonable waiting allowance is built into every booking, so a slow baggage carousel doesn't put you under pressure.
Long immigration queue
On international arrivals, we build extra buffer into the expected clearance time rather than assuming a best-case scenario.
Airport Meet & Greet Service Questions
Is meet & greet a paid extra?
No — it's included as standard on every airport transfer we run. There's no upgrade tier and no separate charge; your driver waits inside the terminal by default.
Where exactly will my driver be waiting?
As close to the arrivals gate as the terminal's access rules allow, holding a name board. We confirm the specific meeting point for your airport and terminal when you book.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track it. Your driver's timing is based on your actual landing slot, which updates automatically — a delay doesn't cost you extra or risk a missed pickup.
Is there a waiting charge if my bags take a long time?
A reasonable free waiting period is built into every meet & greet booking. If you're concerned about an unusually long delay, let us know your flight details when booking and we'll factor it in.
Does meet & greet apply to short routes too?
Yes — whether it's a long cross-country transfer or a short hop like Southampton Airport to a nearby cruise terminal, the same meet & greet standard applies across every booking.
