Gatwick to London Fares

Guide prices for a standard saloon (up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases), one way from either terminal. Gatwick sits south of the city, so South London and Sussex runs are shorter and cheaper than the trip into the centre. Every fare already includes the £10 drop-off charge, tolls and congestion charge where it applies.

All fares are per vehicle, not per passenger. Gatwick is farther from central London than Heathrow, so central fares are naturally higher — but South London and Sussex are much closer. Prices shown are for a saloon; estates, MPVs and 8-seat minivans are available for larger groups and extra luggage. WhatsApp us your postcode or call 020 8888 9988 for a fixed quote in seconds.

North or South — We've Got Both

Gatwick's Two Terminals, Sorted

Gatwick is the only London airport with two completely separate terminal buildings, about 3 miles apart with their own arrivals halls and road approaches. We collect from the Ground Transport Centre at whichever terminal your flight lands — confirmed in advance from your flight number, so there's no confusion after a long flight.

N

North Terminal

Meet & greet at the North Terminal Ground Transport Centre as you exit arrivals. Its own forecourt and approach road off the M23 — your driver is directed straight to the right one.

Airlines include: easyJet, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Norwegian, Air Canada, TUI
S

South Terminal

Meet & greet at the South Terminal Ground Transport Centre, directly above Gatwick Airport station. We know exactly where to wait, whichever hall you come through.

Airlines include: British Airways, Ryanair, Vueling, WizzAir, Virgin Atlantic
🚆

Free Inter-Terminal Shuttle

The two terminals are linked by a free 24-hour shuttle train in about 4 minutes — but with us you won't need it. We come to your terminal, not the other one.

Right Terminal, Every Time

Your booking confirmation lists your terminal, and we confirm it from your flight number. No wrong-terminal mix-ups — the taxi fare is identical to both, so there's nothing to lose either way.

Gatwick to London by Road

The M23 Run — And Why the Route Matters

Gatwick sits around 28 to 30 miles south of Central London in West Sussex. The road journey is longer than from Heathrow, so where you're going — and which way we take you — makes a real difference to the time and the fare.

M23 & M25 to the Centre

The standard route north: M23 from Junction 9, onto the M25, then into town. Around 60 to 90 minutes to Central London depending on the M25's mood.

A23 for South London

Heading to Croydon, Brixton or Brighton? The A23 is the direct, cheaper run — often just 30 to 50 minutes, well short of the full trip into the centre.

The M25 Factor

The Gatwick run lives and dies by the M25. Rush hour and the school-run windows (7–9am, 3–6pm) are the slow ones — we plan around them, and your fixed fare never rises for traffic.

London & the South Coast

Central, South or East London, plus Sussex and Surrey — wherever you're headed from Gatwick, we go door to door with no changes.

How We Compare

Taxi vs Gatwick Express, Thameslink & Black Cab

Gatwick has two good train options into London — the Gatwick Express to Victoria and Thameslink across the centre. Here's the honest comparison. A fixed-fare taxi wins on door-to-door convenience, groups and luggage; the train wins for a solo, light traveller heading near a station.

Gatwick to London Questions

Everything You Might Ask

How much is a taxi from Gatwick to Central London?
A fixed-price taxi from Gatwick to Central London with us starts at around £68 to Victoria, the closest central terminus, and about £70 for the wider West End and Zone 1 — including the £10 drop-off charge and congestion charge where it applies. There's no meter and no surge, so you pay exactly what you were quoted.
How long does a taxi take from Gatwick to London?
A taxi from Gatwick to Central London covers roughly 28 to 30 miles and takes about 60 to 90 minutes via the M23 and M25, depending on traffic. South London destinations such as Croydon and Brixton are quicker, around 35 to 50 minutes via the A23.
Which terminal will you collect me from?
We collect from both Gatwick terminals — North and South — which are separate buildings about 3 miles apart. Your driver meets you at the Ground Transport Centre for your terminal, clearly signposted as you exit baggage reclaim. Give us your flight number and we confirm the correct terminal in advance.
Is a taxi cheaper than the Gatwick Express?
For a solo traveller heading to Victoria, the Gatwick Express (about 30 minutes, from around £25) or Thameslink (from about £10) is usually cheaper. For a group of three or four sharing, a fixed-fare taxi is often competitive or cheaper per person — and takes you door to door with your luggage, with no onward Tube fare or transfer at the other end.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We track your inbound flight in real time using the flight number you provide, and adjust your driver's arrival to match your actual landing time. If your flight is early or delayed, your pickup moves with it — with up to 45 minutes' free waiting after landing, there are no extra charges for normal delays.
Is the £10 Gatwick drop-off charge included?
Yes. For your journey from Gatwick the relevant airport charge is already included in your fixed fare, along with any congestion charge where it applies and all M23 and M25 tolls. The price we quote is the total you pay — there's nothing extra to settle at the airport or during the journey.
Do you also cover Brighton, Croydon and Sussex?
Yes. As well as every part of London, we run fixed-fare Gatwick transfers south to Brighton, Crawley, Horsham, Worthing and across Sussex and Surrey via the A23 and M23 — often a shorter, cheaper run than into central London. Just tell us your destination for an instant quote.
