London to Gatwick Fares

Guide prices for a standard saloon (up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases), one way from your London address to either terminal. The fare is the same day or night — no early-morning surcharge, no surge — and the £10 drop-off charge is already included. South London is closer to Gatwick, so those fares are lower.

All fares are per vehicle, not per passenger, and identical day or night. Because Gatwick is south of the city, South London pickups are the cheapest and quickest. Prices shown are for a saloon; estates, MPVs and 8-seat minivans are available for larger groups and extra luggage. WhatsApp us your postcode or call 020 8888 9988.

Get This Right Before You Set Off

North or South? The Gatwick Terminal Trap

Gatwick is the only London airport with two completely separate terminal buildings — about 3 miles apart, each with its own departures forecourt and its own approach road off the M23. Getting the terminal wrong is the most expensive mistake at Gatwick: because the forecourt uses barrierless ANPR cameras, driving to the wrong terminal and re-entering the correct one is recorded as two separate visits — so you'd be charged the £10 twice.

The good news: with a pre-booked taxi it simply can't happen. We confirm your terminal from your flight number before travel day and take you straight to the right forecourt. The fare is identical to both, so there's nothing to weigh up — just the right drop-off, first time.

Which Terminal Is My Airline?

Always check your booking confirmation — it lists the terminal. As a general guide:

North Terminal: easyJet, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Norwegian, Air Canada, TUI
South Terminal: British Airways, Ryanair, Vueling, WizzAir, Virgin Atlantic
  • We confirm your terminal from your flight number
  • Driver goes straight to the correct forecourt
  • No double £10 charge, no wrong-terminal detour

Gatwick's £10 Charge & the £100 Fine

Gatwick's forecourt fee is now the highest of any UK airport — and the barrierless cameras make it easy to get caught out. With us it's handled and included:

  • £10 for 10 minutes — up from £7 on 6 January 2026, the UK's priciest drop-off. Included in your fare.
  • £100 PCN risk — barrierless ANPR fines drivers who don't pay online by midnight the next day. Not your problem with us.
  • Charged per entry — both terminals, each visit separate. Our driver gets it right first time.
  • No portals, no deadlines — no fumbling with a payment app the next day. It's all in the fixed fare.

The UK's Highest Drop-Off — Handled

Gatwick's drop-off charge has more than doubled in under five years — £5 in 2021, £7 in 2025, and £10 from 6 January 2026, now the highest at any UK airport. And because there are no barriers, it runs on cameras: forget to pay online by midnight the next day and a £100 Penalty Charge Notice follows.

When you pre-book with us, none of that lands on you. The £10 charge is rolled into your fixed fare along with tolls and congestion charge, and your driver deals with the forecourt properly — so what we quote is what you pay, and no surprise fine turns up weeks later.

Get the Timing Right

When to Leave London for Gatwick

The Gatwick run is longer than Heathrow's and hinges on the M25, so the timing matters. Arrive at the terminal 2 hours before short-haul or 3 before long-haul, then add the journey and an M25 buffer. When you book, we set the pickup time from your flight, terminal and postcode.

🕓

6:00am flight (early departures)

Typical pickup from Central London around 3:30am. The M23 and M25 are completely clear at that hour — the run is quick, and no train runs this early anyway.

🕘

9:00am flight (peak-time run)

Pickup around 5:30–6:00am from Central London. This puts you on the M25 as it builds — we add extra buffer for the morning peak so you're never cutting it fine.

🛣️

The M25 is the variable

Unlike the shorter Heathrow hop, the Gatwick trip depends on the M25. The 7–9am and 3–6pm windows are the slow ones — we plan around them, and your fare is fixed regardless.

📋

We work out your pickup time

Give us your flight time, terminal and pickup postcode — we tell you exactly when the driver should arrive, factoring in check-in, security and the M25. No guesswork.

London to Gatwick Questions

Everything You Might Ask

Which Gatwick terminal do I need — North or South?
Check your booking confirmation — the terminal is always listed. North Terminal serves airlines like easyJet, Emirates and Qatar; South Terminal serves British Airways, Ryanair, Vueling and Virgin Atlantic. The two are separate buildings with different road approaches, so we confirm the correct terminal from your flight number and take you straight to the right one — no wrong-terminal detour.
How much is a taxi to Gatwick from Central London?
A fixed-price taxi to Gatwick from Central London starts at around £68 from Victoria and about £70 from the wider West End, for a standard saloon. The price is agreed when you book with no meter and no surge — the same fixed fare at 4am as at 4pm. South London pickups such as Croydon are less, from around £45.
Is the £10 drop-off charge included, and what about the £100 fine?
Your fixed fare includes the £10 forecourt drop-off charge — now the highest at any UK airport — so there's nothing to pay at the barrier. Because Gatwick uses barrierless ANPR cameras, private drivers who forget to pay online by midnight the next day risk a £100 Penalty Charge Notice. With a pre-booked taxi your driver handles the forecourt and the charge, so there are no payment portals, deadlines or PCN risk for you.
How early should I leave London for a Gatwick flight?
Aim to arrive at the terminal about 2 hours before short-haul and 3 hours before long-haul, then add your journey time and an M25 buffer. From Central London the road journey is about 60 to 90 minutes, so for a 6am departure a typical pickup is around 3:30am — the M23 and M25 are clear then. We recommend the exact pickup time when you book.
Can I get an early-morning or pre-dawn taxi to Gatwick?
Yes. There's no early-morning surcharge and no surge, and your driver is allocated and confirmed the night before — so there's no risk of an app cancelling at 4am. For early flights this matters even more at Gatwick, because the Gatwick Express and Thameslink don't run in the small hours, leaving a pre-booked taxi as the only reliable option.
Do you pick up from my home or hotel?
Yes. We collect from any London home, hotel, office or address, door to door, at any hour. For hotel pickups the driver arrives at your booked time and waits up to 15 minutes free of charge while you check out, then takes you straight to the correct Gatwick terminal.
Is the fare fixed even if the M25 is heavy?
Yes. Your fare is fixed when you book and never rises for traffic, roadworks or diversions. The Gatwick run depends heavily on the M25, so we build a sensible buffer into your pickup time for the peak windows — 7 to 9am and 3 to 6pm are the ones to allow extra for — and you still pay only the price you were quoted.
