Taxi To Gatwick
From London
Right Terminal, No £100 Surprise
Gatwick has two separate terminals and the UK's highest drop-off charge — get either wrong and it costs you. We pick you up from your London door, confirm North or South from your flight, drive you via the M23, and handle the £10 forecourt charge as part of one fixed fare. Same price at 4am as at 4pm.
London to Gatwick Fares
Guide prices for a standard saloon (up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases), one way from your London address to either terminal. The fare is the same day or night — no early-morning surcharge, no surge — and the £10 drop-off charge is already included. South London is closer to Gatwick, so those fares are lower.
| To Gatwick from (London area) | Fixed fare (from) | Journey time |
|---|---|---|
| London Victoria SW1 | £68 | 60–80 min |
| Central London West End, Soho, W1 | £70 | 60–90 min |
| The City & London Bridge EC1–EC4, SE1 | £75 | 65–95 min |
| King's Cross & St Pancras N1C | £78 | 70–95 min |
| Canary Wharf E14 | £85 | 70–100 min |
| Kensington & Chelsea SW3, SW7 | £72 | 60–90 min |
| Croydon CR0 · South London | £45 | 30–45 min |
| Brixton & Clapham SW2, SW4 | £55 | 40–60 min |
| Wimbledon & Sutton SW19, SM1 | £50 | 35–55 min |
| Bromley BR1 | £50 | 35–55 min |
| Richmond & Kingston TW9, KT1 | £60 | 45–70 min |
| Heathrow Airport LHR · airport-to-airport | £95 | 55–85 min |
All fares are per vehicle, not per passenger, and identical day or night. Because Gatwick is south of the city, South London pickups are the cheapest and quickest. Prices shown are for a saloon; estates, MPVs and 8-seat minivans are available for larger groups and extra luggage. WhatsApp us your postcode or call 020 8888 9988.
North or South? The Gatwick Terminal Trap
Gatwick is the only London airport with two completely separate terminal buildings — about 3 miles apart, each with its own departures forecourt and its own approach road off the M23. Getting the terminal wrong is the most expensive mistake at Gatwick: because the forecourt uses barrierless ANPR cameras, driving to the wrong terminal and re-entering the correct one is recorded as two separate visits — so you'd be charged the £10 twice.
The good news: with a pre-booked taxi it simply can't happen. We confirm your terminal from your flight number before travel day and take you straight to the right forecourt. The fare is identical to both, so there's nothing to weigh up — just the right drop-off, first time.
Which Terminal Is My Airline?
Always check your booking confirmation — it lists the terminal. As a general guide:
- We confirm your terminal from your flight number
- Driver goes straight to the correct forecourt
- No double £10 charge, no wrong-terminal detour
Gatwick's £10 Charge & the £100 Fine
Gatwick's forecourt fee is now the highest of any UK airport — and the barrierless cameras make it easy to get caught out. With us it's handled and included:
- £10 for 10 minutes — up from £7 on 6 January 2026, the UK's priciest drop-off. Included in your fare.
- £100 PCN risk — barrierless ANPR fines drivers who don't pay online by midnight the next day. Not your problem with us.
- Charged per entry — both terminals, each visit separate. Our driver gets it right first time.
- No portals, no deadlines — no fumbling with a payment app the next day. It's all in the fixed fare.
The UK's Highest Drop-Off — Handled
Gatwick's drop-off charge has more than doubled in under five years — £5 in 2021, £7 in 2025, and £10 from 6 January 2026, now the highest at any UK airport. And because there are no barriers, it runs on cameras: forget to pay online by midnight the next day and a £100 Penalty Charge Notice follows.
When you pre-book with us, none of that lands on you. The £10 charge is rolled into your fixed fare along with tolls and congestion charge, and your driver deals with the forecourt properly — so what we quote is what you pay, and no surprise fine turns up weeks later.
When to Leave London for Gatwick
The Gatwick run is longer than Heathrow's and hinges on the M25, so the timing matters. Arrive at the terminal 2 hours before short-haul or 3 before long-haul, then add the journey and an M25 buffer. When you book, we set the pickup time from your flight, terminal and postcode.
6:00am flight (early departures)
Typical pickup from Central London around 3:30am. The M23 and M25 are completely clear at that hour — the run is quick, and no train runs this early anyway.
9:00am flight (peak-time run)
Pickup around 5:30–6:00am from Central London. This puts you on the M25 as it builds — we add extra buffer for the morning peak so you're never cutting it fine.
The M25 is the variable
Unlike the shorter Heathrow hop, the Gatwick trip depends on the M25. The 7–9am and 3–6pm windows are the slow ones — we plan around them, and your fare is fixed regardless.
We work out your pickup time
Give us your flight time, terminal and pickup postcode — we tell you exactly when the driver should arrive, factoring in check-in, security and the M25. No guesswork.
