On 6 January 2026 LCY became the last major UK airport to charge for drop-off — and its terms are the strictest going. With us it's handled and included:
- £8 for just 5 minutes — the shortest free window of any UK airport, then £1/min. Included in your fare.
- £1.60/min — the priciest per minute in the UK, with a 10-minute hard cap. A pro driver keeps it quick and covered.
- Barrierless ANPR — cameras fine you if you forget to pay online by the next day. We take care of it.
- No £12.50 ULEZ — our fleet is compliant, so London's emission charge never applies to you.
The £8 That Just Appeared — Sorted
For years London City was the one London airport where you could pull up outside the terminal for free. That ended on 6 January 2026 with a new £8 forecourt charge — and at £1.60 a minute with only a 5-minute base window, it's the most expensive per-minute drop-off in the country. The barrierless cameras fine you if you don't pay online in time.

London City Airport (LCY) is the capital's most central airport, sitting in the Royal Docks in East London — roughly 3 miles from Canary Wharf and 7 to 8 miles from the City and West End. The airport is reached via the A13 and A406 North Circular, with the DLR station directly above the terminal connecting to Bank in about 22 minutes.
