How we get you from Dartford to Heathrow
Heathrow sits on the opposite side of London from Dartford, so our drivers choose between two options on the day, based on live traffic.
The M25 anti-clockwise. From DA1 we join the A2 at Princes Road, pick up the M25 at Junction 2 and head south past Swanley, Sevenoaks and Clacket Lane, then round the bottom of London to Junction 14 for Terminals 2, 3 and 5, or on to Terminal 4. About 55 miles, avoiding central London completely.
Through town. A2 to the Blackwall Tunnel via the A102, then across to the A4 or M4. Shorter at around 45 miles, but it relies on the tunnel behaving. We use it for very early and late-night runs when London is quiet.
- Terminal 5 has its own spur off the M25 at Junction 14 and is usually the quickest drop.
- Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area, reached through the tunnel under the northern runway.
- Terminal 4 is on the south side and adds five to ten minutes.
Your driver knows the right forecourt lane at each terminal and pays the £6 drop-off charge for you.
When to leave Dartford for a Heathrow flight
The M25 between Junctions 5 and 10 is one of the busiest stretches of motorway in the country, and the part of this journey most likely to catch you out.
Early flights (before 09:00)
Leave Dartford three and a half hours before departure for long-haul, three for short-haul. At 04:00 the run is usually a clean 60–65 minutes, but a closure on the M25 at that hour is hard to route around.
Mid-morning to early afternoon
Allow 75–90 minutes. The anti-clockwise M25 is normally moving, but the Junction 10 Wisley works and the Heathrow spur can add a slow ten minutes.
Evening departures (after 18:00)
Leaving DA1 between 15:30 and 18:00 puts you on the M25 at its worst. Either leave before 15:00 or accept a 100-minute estimate and book accordingly.
When you book, give us the flight number and terminal rather than just a pickup time. We check the departure the evening before, and if the Blackwall Tunnel is shut or the M25 has an incident we will message you to suggest an earlier pickup. Our early morning service runs all night with no surcharge.
Fixed-fare taxi, app ride or the train?
Public transport from Dartford to Heathrow means Southeastern into Charing Cross or Cannon Street, the Tube or Elizabeth line across to Paddington, then the Heathrow service from there. Door to door that is two and a half hours with three changes, and not practical before 06:00 or with more than a cabin bag each.
Ride-hail apps can be cheaper at 14:00 on a Tuesday. They are rarely cheaper at 04:30, when surge pricing is common and the nearest driver may be in Bromley, and there is no guarantee a car will accept a 50-mile job at that hour. Heathrow to Dartford: how the pickup works
Coming home is where a pre-booked car earns its keep. We track your inbound flight from take-off, so a late departure from Dubai or an early arrival from Edinburgh both adjust the driver's schedule automatically.
Once you land you get 45 minutes free waiting, counted from actual touchdown. If the e-gates are slow or a bag goes missing, message the driver and we hold the car for a small extra charge.

Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Bluewater and Ebbsfleet join the A2 at Bean or Ebbsfleet. Arriving on HS1 at Ebbsfleet International and heading straight to Heathrow? We meet you at the station forecourt.
Gravesend DA11 and DA12, Longfield DA3 add ten to fifteen minutes and £10 to the guide price. Gravesend pickups include the station and Northfleet.
Swanley and Hextable BR8 sit on Junction 3 of the M25, so the fare matches Dartford at £95. DA4 villages are quoted individually.
