Getting out of Bexleyheath: what actually matters
Bexleyheath runs on the A207 Broadway with the A2 a few hundred metres south, and that combination is why its airport fares look the way they do. The A2 feeds straight into the Blackwall Tunnel for London City — 8.1 miles and £90, the cheapest airport run in DA6 — and east to the M25 at junction 2 for the Dartford Crossing. Stansted at 36.5 miles is unusually reachable from here for that reason, at £136 against £150 from Beckenham.
Heathrow is the opposite story. There is no good westbound road from DA7: it is the A2 into town and out again, or the M25 the long way anticlockwise. At 34.2 miles and £121, it is the run where leaving enough time matters most, and the one where we pick the route on the morning.
The town has two National Trust-scale attractions that generate visitor work and confuse drivers equally: Danson Park with Danson House, and Red House, the home William Morris had built for himself. Red House Lane is narrow with almost nowhere to turn, so we set pickups at the Upton Road end unless you specifically need the door.
