Meeting the train at Greenhithe station
Greenhithe station is officially "Greenhithe for Bluewater", which tells you what most arriving passengers want. Southeastern trains from London Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Victoria stop here on the North Kent line, and the platform-to-forecourt walk is short. The catch is the location: the station sits low by the river on Station Road, the bus stands take up most of the turning space, and the walk up to the centre or to the newer estates is steeper than it looks on a map.
We meet trains rather than times. Give us the service you are on and the driver tracks it, so a delay at Dartford or a slow run through Abbey Wood does not leave you paying for waiting. The car parks by the station entrance, the driver texts the registration, and you are away within a minute of walking out.
- Late trains: the last services from London reach Greenhithe after midnight. Pre-book and the car is there; do not rely on finding one on the forecourt.

Ingress Park, Crossways and the riverside estates
Greenhithe has changed more than almost anywhere in Dartford borough. The old village around the High Street and the Pier Hotel is still there, but Ingress Park, the Waterstone Park development and the blocks along the Thames path now hold most of the residents. The cheapest taxi to Bluewater there is
From most of Greenhithe, Bluewater is under a mile as the crow flies and about five minutes by road via the A226 or the Bluewater Parkway. At from £8 for a saloon it is the shortest fare on our price list, and it is the one we run most often: staff on early and late shifts, shoppers with too many bags for the bus, families heading to the cinema and hotel guests going the other way.
Bluewater is a large site with a ring road, several colour-coded car parks and separate entrances for each anchor store, so "meet me at Bluewater" is not enough. Tell us the store or car park you are nearest and we set a precise pickup point that the driver confirms by message.

Greenhithe's position next to the Dartford Bridge junction means the driver is on the motorway network within three minutes of your door, whichever airport you are flying from. Stansted is worth a note: the driver uses the northbound tunnels rather than the QEII bridge, and if a high wind closes the bridge the tunnels usually keep running, so the fare and timing hold. For Heathrow the best route depends on the hour; at 4am the A2, A102 and M4 through town can beat the full M25 loop, and the driver picks whichever is running cleaner.
