Longfield and Hartley taxi fares
Guide fares for a saloon, one way, from Longfield, Hartley, New Barn and Fawkham. DA3 is a little further from the A2 and M25 than Dartford itself, which adds a few pounds to airport prices, but the roads out via the A227 and the A20 at West Kingsdown are quiet and quick. Airport drop-off fees, ULEZ and Dart Charge are included where the trip needs them. MPVs about 25% more; 8-seaters about 50% more.

Getting out of DA3 for an early flight
Longfield, Hartley and New Barn have no night bus and a station that does not see a train until the early hours are over. If you are flying early, a pre-booked car is the practical option, and a fixed fare means you know the cost before you go to bed rather than watching a meter at four in the morning.
How we handle it: you tell us the flight and airport, we suggest a pickup time and confirm the fare in writing the day before. At the pickup time the car is outside with the engine off and the driver knocks quietly rather than sounding the horn.
- Gatwick, from £75: Fawkham Road to the A20 at West Kingsdown, M25 Junction 3 anticlockwise to Junction 7, M23. Around 50 minutes at that hour.
- Heathrow, from £105: M25 clockwise from Junction 3, or A20/A2/Blackwall/M4 through the empty city. 70 to 90 minutes.
- Stansted, from £90: A2 to the Dartford tunnel, M25 to Junction 27, M11. The Dart Charge is included.
- London City, from £55: A2 and the Blackwall Tunnel; no drop-off charge at City.
Every fare includes the airport's drop-off fee and ULEZ where the route touches it. Coming home, the flight is tracked, 45 minutes' waiting after landing is free and a name board in arrivals is available on request.
Longfield station and the Ebbsfleet alternative
Longfield station is on the Chatham main line between Farningham Road and Meopham, with Southeastern trains to London Victoria in around 40 minutes and to Rochester and the Medway towns the other way. It sits on Station Road at the bottom of the village, next to the small parade of shops, with a short forecourt where a car can wait for a couple of minutes.
We collect from the forecourt with train tracking, so a late-running Victoria service does not cost you waiting time. For Hartley and New Barn the station is a ten-minute walk uphill with luggage, which is where an £8 to £10 hop makes sense, especially in the rain or after the last train.
The alternative is Ebbsfleet International, from £15 and 12 to 18 minutes via the A227 and Southfleet. HS1 gets you to St Pancras in 17 minutes and Stratford in ten, so for anyone working in King's Cross, the City via Stratford or Canary Wharf, a taxi to Ebbsfleet plus HS1 can beat the Victoria train by half an hour. We drop on the forecourt and, for returns, track the train and meet you at the exit. Our Ebbsfleet taxi page has the station layout.
Doorstep pickups across Hartley, New Barn and Fawkham
DA3 is a cluster of villages rather than one town, and the roads between them are lanes with passing places. Local knowledge matters: a driver from further away will take Ash Road when Round Ash Way is quicker, or come at Fawkham from the wrong end. Ours live and work here.
Cars run at every hour of every day at the same fixed prices, with free child seats on request and help with pushchairs and shopping. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available with notice for hospital appointments.
Hartley
Pickups from Ash Road, Church Road, the Hartley Hill estates and the Woodland Avenue roads. Family runs to Bluewater, Dartford and Darent Valley Hospital are the most common bookings.
New Barn
Collection from New Barn Road and the cul-de-sacs off it, five minutes to Longfield station, fifteen to Ebbsfleet.
Fawkham
Fawkham Green, Valley Road and the lanes towards Brands Hatch. Late pickups after the pubs and evening functions at the Manor.
Cars run at every hour of every day at the same fixed prices, with free child seats on request and help with pushchairs and shopping. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available with notice for hospital appointments and family trips.
Brands Hatch on race weekends and track days
Brands Hatch is three miles from Longfield down Fawkham Road and along the A20, and a taxi from DA3 is from £14, ten to fifteen minutes. Race weekends bring a different problem: the circuit car parks empty onto the A20 all at once and the queue can stretch back to West Kingsdown. A pre-booked pickup with a set meeting point saves an hour of that.
- Drop-off: the main entrance on the A20 or the paddock gate, as your ticket directs. We arrive early on British Touring Car and British Superbike weekends because the marshals close lanes.
- Pickup: we agree a spot away from the main exit, usually on the West Kingsdown side, and the driver messages when parked. Give us a time that is realistic for the end of the last race, not the printed finish.
- Groups: six- and eight-seaters for a party arriving from Ebbsfleet or Dartford stations, at roughly 25% and 50% above the saloon fare, with one fixed price for the vehicle.
Brands Hatch also hosts the event transfers we run for concerts and festivals in the grounds, where the same meeting-point approach applies.

Longfield taxi — questions
How much is a taxi from Longfield to Gatwick?
From £75 for a saloon, one way, with the £7 Gatwick drop-off charge included. The driver takes Fawkham Road to the A20 at West Kingsdown, the M25 from Junction 3 to Junction 7 and the M23. Allow 50 to 75 minutes; early-morning runs are at the quicker end.
Can you do a 3.30am pickup from Hartley?
Yes, that is a normal booking for us. Cars run 24 hours at the same fixed price. You get the driver's name and registration the evening before, the car arrives with the engine off and the driver knocks rather than hooting.
What does a taxi from Longfield to Ebbsfleet cost?
From £15, 12 to 18 minutes via the A227 and Southfleet. We drop on the station forecourt for HS1 to St Pancras in 17 minutes. For returns we track the train and meet you at the exit; commuters can set up a standing booking on monthly invoice.
Do you pick up from Longfield station?
Yes, on the Station Road forecourt with train tracking, so a late Victoria service costs you nothing in waiting. Short hops up to Hartley and New Barn start from around £8, and we also collect from Meopham and Farningham Road if you end up at the wrong station.
How much is a taxi to Brands Hatch from Longfield?
From £14 and ten to fifteen minutes via Fawkham Road and the A20. On race weekends we agree a pickup point away from the main exit queue, usually on the West Kingsdown side, and the driver messages when parked. Six- and eight-seaters are available for groups.
How long is Longfield to Heathrow by taxi?
About 70 to 100 minutes. By day the driver uses the A20 to M25 Junction 3 and runs clockwise to Junction 15; at night the A2, Blackwall Tunnel and M4 through London can be quicker. The fare is from £105 with the £6 terminal charge and ULEZ included.
Is Dartford from Longfield a fixed price?
Yes, from £22 for a saloon, 18 to 28 minutes via the A2 at Bean or through Darenth. Dartford station, the town centre and Darent Valley Hospital (from £20) are the usual drops. The price is the same whatever the traffic on the A2 is doing.
What vehicles can I book in DA3?
Saloons for four passengers and two large cases, estates for extra luggage, 6-seat MPVs, 8-seat minibuses and executive Mercedes E-Class and V-Class. MPVs are roughly 25% above the saloon price and 8-seaters roughly 50% above. Child seats are free on request.
