Northfleet Taxi
Northfleet has Ebbsfleet International a mile down the road, Gravesend two miles the other way and the A2 running along its southern edge – yet no direct bus to the HS1 platforms and a station of its own that is a long uphill walk from most of the houses. Taxi On The Go fills those gaps with pre-booked, fixed-fare private hire across DA11: Ebbsfleet from £7, Gravesend from £9, Bluewater from £12 and every airport and cruise port at a price agreed in advance. We are based in Dartford, ten minutes west, and run 24/7. Prices on the fare list.

Northfleet to Ebbsfleet International – the £7 shortcut to St Pancras
Ebbsfleet International is the best-kept transport secret in this corner of Kent: 17 minutes to St Pancras on Southeastern's high-speed service, with trains every few minutes at peak. Eurostar no longer stops there, but for London it beats the slow line from Northfleet station by half an hour. The catch is getting to it – the station is on the far side of the A2 from most of Northfleet, with an unreliable bus and a car park that fills.
A taxi from Northfleet to Ebbsfleet is from £7 and takes five to eight minutes via Thames Way or Springhead Road. We drop on the station forecourt by the entrance. For the trip home, tell us your train from St Pancras and we track it; the driver will be on the forecourt with a name board if you want one, and there is 15 minutes' waiting built in.
Northfleet's own station
Northfleet station on the North Kent line is fine for Dartford, Woolwich and Cannon Street, but it sits at the bottom of the hill by the old cement works and the walk up to Springhead or Painters Ash is steep. From £6 to most of Northfleet.
Regular commuters
Set up a standing booking – same time, same driver where possible – and pay by monthly invoice. Full details on the Ebbsfleet International taxi page.
Ebbsfleet United, Springhead Park and Northfleet's own landmarks
Ebbsfleet United play at Stonebridge Road, a compact ground tucked between the railway and the river in the middle of Northfleet. Parking is tight and the roads around it are residential, so on match days we run a lot of short hops: from £6 within Northfleet, from £9 to Gravesend station for away fans catching the train, from £12 to Bluewater's restaurants after the final whistle. Book the return before kick-off and the driver will be on Stonebridge Road or in the nearby side streets at the agreed time.
Springhead Park
The new estate between the A2 and Ebbsfleet station. From £6 to Ebbsfleet, from £8 to Gravesend – and the quickest access to the A2 for airport runs.
Painters Ash & Perry Street
The residential heart of Northfleet. From £5 to the High Street, from £9 to Gravesend town.
Northfleet High Street & The Hill
Shops, pubs and the church. Evening pickups from £5 to anywhere in DA11.
Rosherville & the riverside
The Thames-side developments and the old pier area. From £7 to Gravesend station.
Gravesend itself – the station for the slow London line, the Gravesend to Tilbury ferry, Gravesend Borough Market and the riverside – is from £9, and we cover the whole of DA11 and DA12 at the same fixed rates. See Gravesend taxis.

Tilbury's London International Cruise Terminal is from £32 over the QEII bridge and back through Grays, 25 to 35 minutes; the ferry from Gravesend is an alternative for foot passengers but not with a cruise's worth of luggage. Southampton (Ocean, City, Mayflower, QEII and Horizon terminals) is from £155. Every airport pickup has flight tracking and 45 minutes' free waiting; cruise pickups are timed to your disembarkation slot. More on the cruise transfers page and Dover transfers.
The advantages of a pre-booked Northfleet car
Northfleet is at the edge of the zone where ride-hail apps have cars waiting. Daytime you might find one in Gravesend; at 3am for a Stansted flight, or at 11pm outside Ebbsfleet when the last train arrives, the app will often show nothing within twenty minutes. Pre-booking with a local private hire firm removes the gamble.
- A fixed fare – set when you book, unaffected by traffic or the Crossing closing.
- A named driver – texted to you with the car and registration.
- Licensed, DBS-checked drivers insured for hire and reward.
- The right car – saloon, estate, 6-seat MPV, 8-seat minibus or executive Mercedes E-Class and V-Class.
- Payment by cash, card (no surcharge) or account invoice.
- Waiting included – 15 minutes at home, 45 at an airport.
- Child seats at no cost, ask when booking.
Our base is Dartford DA1, ten minutes along the A2 or A226 from Northfleet, so the car is not coming from the other side of London. The person taking your booking knows that Stonebridge Road and Springhead Road are on opposite sides of the railway and prices accordingly.
Springhead, Painters Ash, Perry Street, Rosherville and beyond
Our Northfleet cover takes in the whole of DA11: Northfleet town and The Hill, Springhead Park, Painters Ash, Perry Street, Rosherville, the Ebbsfleet Garden City developments on the Northfleet side, Istead Rise to the south and the Pepper Hill and Coldharbour Road area by the A2. Gravesend DA12, Swanscombe DA10 and Greenhithe DA9 are all within ten minutes and priced the same way.
