ASHFORD TAXI · TN23–TN27 · EUROTUNNEL FROM £25 · 24/7

Ashford Taxi

Ashford International still has the name and the long platforms, but Eurostar does not currently call there, so a trip to Paris from TN24 now starts with a decision: HS1 to St Pancras and check in there, or a car to the Eurotunnel terminal fifteen miles down the M20 and drive on. Taxi On The Go handles both legs at fixed prices, along with the everyday Ashford work – the Designer Outlet, William Harvey Hospital, Eureka Park, the airports. We are based in Dartford, 35 miles away by the M20 and M25, and Ashford is inside the Kent territory our drivers cover every day. The full price list covers the rest.

ST PANCRAS OR THE SHUTTLE

Getting to the Continent from Ashford now that Eurostar passes through

Ashford International's HS1 platforms still give you St Pancras in 38 minutes, and for foot passengers that is the sensible way to Paris or Brussels: we drop at Station Approach, you check in at St Pancras. Eurostar's stopping pattern has changed before and may change again, so check it before you book. If you are travelling with a car, LeShuttle at Folkestone is from £25 and 18 to 25 minutes down the M20 to Junction 11a – a taxi drop-off there is for people meeting a vehicle, using the Flexiplus lounge, or working at the terminal, because the shuttle itself carries vehicles, not foot passengers.

  • Dover Eastern Docks ferry port from £40 – foot-passenger check-in is at the terminal building, roughly an hour before sailing.
  • Dover Western Docks cruise terminals from £40 – tell us the terminal number; see Dover cruise transfers.
  • Folkestone Central, Harbour Arm and Sandgate – from £25.
  • Operation Brock – when the M20 coastbound is coned, the driver knows the A20 and A28 alternatives.

Coming back, we collect from Station Approach, the LeShuttle passenger terminal or the Dover ferry terminal at the time you give us, and hold the car if the crossing runs late.

DESIGNER OUTLET, WILLIAM HARVEY, EUREKA PARK

Ashford's everyday journeys: outlet, hospital and business parks

Ashford Designer Outlet on Kimberley Way is a short hop from the station – from £5 – and a wait-and-return for a couple of hours' shopping is one price, with the boot for the bags. Visitors combining it with a day in Canterbury (from £30) or Leeds Castle (from £22) can book the whole loop.

William Harvey Hospital on Kennington Road, off M20 Junction 10, is the main hospital for east Kent's emergency care. From most of Ashford the fare is from £6; let the driver know if it is the main entrance, A&E or the Cambridge Ward side, ask for wait-and-return on short clinics, and book a wheelchair-accessible vehicle if you need one. Once you are discharged a car is normally with you inside twenty minutes. Transfers to Kent and Canterbury Hospital (from £30) or Maidstone Hospital (from £30) are fixed-price.

Local runs, priced by postcode

  • Ashford International to Kennington, Willesborough or Kingsnorth – from £6.
  • Singleton, Stanhope and Park Farm – from £6.
  • Eureka Park and Orbital Park – shift and account bookings from £6.
  • Wye, Charing and Pluckley villages – from £10.
  • Tenterden via the A28 – from £22.
M20 JUNCTIONS 9 AND 10 TO THE M25

Airport transfers from Ashford with the fare fixed at booking

Two M20 junctions serve Ashford – 9 for the town and station, 10 for William Harvey and Kingsnorth – and from either it is motorway all the way to the M25 at Junction 3. Each airport fare has the airport's own drop-off charge in it, plus the Dart Charge if the route crosses the QEII bridge.

Gatwick from £100

M20, M26, M25 clockwise to Junction 7, M23. 70–100 minutes; £7 forecourt fee included.

Heathrow from £140

Stansted from £125

DARTFORD BASE, KENT-WIDE

Dartford to Ashford and back: how a north Kent firm serves TN23–TN27

Our office is in Dartford DA1, 35 miles north-west. The Dartford to Ashford run – from £60, 45 to 60 minutes by the M25 and M20 or the A2, M2 and A249 – is one we drive regularly, for Ashford International, the Designer Outlet and the hospital, and cars heading that way are available for jobs starting in Ashford. We do not have a rank on Station Approach, so for a two-minute hop on a Friday night a local firm may be nearer; for anything booked ahead, the fare is fixed and the car is yours from the moment it is allocated.

  • One quote before dispatch, unaffected by Operation Brock or M20 roadworks.
  • Driver name, vehicle and registration by text.
  • Licensed private hire drivers, enhanced DBS checks, hire-and-reward insurance.
  • Saloon, estate, six-seater MPV, eight-seater minibus, Mercedes executive.
  • Cash, card without surcharge, or monthly invoice for Eureka Park and Orbital Park firms.

Ashford taxi questions

How much is a taxi from Ashford to the Eurotunnel terminal?

From £25, 18 to 25 minutes down the M20 to Junction 11a. Remember LeShuttle carries vehicles rather than foot passengers – a drop-off suits people meeting a car, using Flexiplus, or working there. For a foot crossing, Dover's Eastern Docks ferry port is from £40.

Does Eurostar stop at Ashford International?

Not at present – check Eurostar's current stopping pattern before booking. The usual answer is HS1 to St Pancras, 38 minutes, and we drop at Station Approach for that. Ebbsfleet, also without Eurostar calls, is from £55 if you want to leave from there.

What does Ashford to Gatwick cost?

From £100 in a saloon, £7 drop-off fee included, taking 70 to 100 minutes via the M20, M26 and M25 to the M23. An MPV for six is around £125.

How much is Ashford to Heathrow?

From £140 including the £6 terminal charge, 95 to 135 minutes. Daytime it is the M20, M26 and M25 to Junction 15; overnight the A20 and M4 through London can be quicker. Tell us the terminal.

Can you take me to William Harvey Hospital?

From £6 from most of Ashford to Kennington Road, off M20 Junction 10. Say which entrance – main or emergency department – and ask for wait-and-return or a wheelchair-accessible vehicle when you book.

Is there a fixed fare from Ashford to Dartford?

From £60, 45 to 60 minutes, by the M20 and M25 to Junction 2 or the A249 and A2. Bluewater is from £58 and Ebbsfleet International from £55. The reverse run from Dartford is the same price.

Do you pick up from the Designer Outlet?

Yes – from the Kimberley Way entrance, at an agreed time, with room in the boot for the bags. Station to outlet is from £5, and a wait-and-return for a few hours' shopping is one fixed price.
