Blackwall, the A12 and the A1 – the run from Dartford to N7
The Emirates is closer to Kent than Wembley or Tottenham, and the drive is more straightforward. From Dartford the driver follows the A2 to the Blackwall Tunnel, comes up the A12 to the Bow interchange, then cuts west along the A11 and A501 to the Angel and north up the A1 Holloway Road. It is 22 miles and 50 to 85 minutes; the variable is the section from Bow to the Angel, which is city traffic and slow on a weekday evening.
A second option on a Saturday is through the City: A2 to New Cross, the Old Kent Road, Tower Bridge, then Bishopsgate and the A1 north through Islington. It is a similar distance and sometimes quicker once the offices are empty. From Bromley or Sidcup the South Circular and Vauxhall Bridge give a western approach through King's Cross.
- 3pm Saturday – leave Dartford around 1pm; Holloway Road is thick with supporters from 1:30pm.
- Evening kick-offs – a 5:15pm pickup for an 8pm start covers the rush-hour crawl through Bow.
- Sunday fixtures – lighter roads, so 50 to 60 minutes is realistic.

Drayton Park before the game, Hornsey Road or Holloway Road afterwards
The stadium has no ring road; it is boxed in by the railway to the east and west and by residential streets that are permit-only on match days. That leaves a few approaches that work for a car.
Getting dropped off
Our usual drop is on the Drayton Park side, near Highbury & Islington, which puts you a short walk from the west stands and the Clock End bridges. For the North Bank and the east side, the driver can use Hornsey Road as far as the marshals allow. Say which stand and turnstile you are heading for when you book.
Getting picked up
Immediately after the whistle, the streets around the ground are pedestrians only and 60,000 people are walking to Arsenal, Holloway Road and Finsbury Park stations. Rather than fight that, we agree a pickup point a few minutes' walk away – a fixed spot on Hornsey Road towards the Seven Sisters Road end, or on Holloway Road near the Tube – and the driver is there 20 to 30 minutes after full time. Registration and meeting point come by text beforehand. If it goes to extra time and penalties, message the driver; the car waits.

Men's home fixtures
Premier League weekends, midweek European ties, FA Cup and League Cup rounds. The busiest days are the north London derby and the big European nights, when we suggest an extra 30 minutes on the drive.
Arsenal Women
Many of the Women's Super League and European fixtures are now played at the Emirates rather than Meadow Park. The crowds are large but the exits are quicker, and families with children are the typical booking – child seats free on request.
Concerts
Occasional summer shows use the stadium. The curfew is late evening and the exit crowd rivals a derby; book both legs in advance and we agree the pickup point on the day.
Stadium tours and the Armoury
Non-match days are easy: the driver drops at the Armoury store on Drayton Park and can wait for a tour or collect later. A wait-and-return from Bexleyheath or Dartford is the sensible way to do it.
We do not list fixtures or kick-off times here – the club's site has them. Tell us the game when you book and we work the timings backwards from it.
Piccadilly line, ride-hail app or a car booked from Kent
The Tube is the obvious way in: Southeastern to London Bridge or Charing Cross, then the Piccadilly line to Arsenal or Holloway Road, or the Victoria line to Finsbury Park. Fine for one or two going up. Coming home after an evening game is the weak point – Arsenal station operates crowd control after full time, the Piccadilly line is packed, and the connection to the last train towards Dartford or Gravesend is tight.
App cars will not enter the match-day restrictions, surge sharply after the whistle and often refuse a fare to Kent.

Will the driver wait if the match goes to extra time?
Yes. Cup ties and European knockouts can add 40 minutes. Message the driver from the ground and the car stays at the agreed point; waiting beyond the included allowance is charged per 15 minutes at the rate we quoted.
What time should we leave Bexleyheath for a 3pm Arsenal kick-off?
Around 1pm. That allows for the Blackwall Tunnel queue and puts you on Holloway Road roughly an hour before kick-off. For an 8pm midweek game, leave around 5:30pm to clear the rush-hour section between Bow and the Angel.
Do you take groups to the Emirates?
Yes – a 6-seat MPV from Dartford is from £73 and an 8-seat minibus from £87, around £11 a head each way. For bigger parties we send two vehicles with the same times.
Can you drive us to the Emirates for a stadium tour on a non-match day?
Yes. Without the closures the driver drops at the Armoury on Drayton Park and can wait for the tour – ask for a wait-and-return price – or come back at a set time.
Is the train cheaper than a taxi to the Emirates from Kent?
For one person, yes. For four from Bromley the car is from £50 each way – around £12.50 a head, door to ground – and avoids the post-match crowd control at Arsenal station.
